Each year, secondary students across Niagara Catholic participate in the annual Pilgrimage. The purpose of Pilgrimage is to walk and raise funds for those less fortunate in other countries and in our local communities. The celebration of Mass is an essential part of the Pilgrimage. Saint Francis Phoenix walk to support our sister school Marie Immaculée in Haiti, The Centre for Hope in Guatemala and local charities that support youth such as the Kristen French Centre and RAFT. Pilgrimage takes place in late October.
2026 Pilgrimage
This year's theme is 'we are the light.' It carries an active call to action centred on purpose, unity, and living our faith out loud—which is exactly what Pilgrimage is all about. This year’s theme reminds us that light was never meant to be hidden or kept safely inside the walls of a church. It is meant to step directly into dark, painful, and broken places to bring real hope and comfort. It calls us beyond familiar spaces, urging us to step into the forgotten corners of our world to bring relief where it is needed most. Our theme says "We" are the light. Faith is meant to be lived in community—here within our Phoenix family. Together, our shared light burns far brighter, reflecting a hope that no single person could carry alone.
